This at first seemingly miscellaneous collection of pieces was put together from various Elektra and Inner Voices performance projects and was intended as a promotional sampler. Listening to it many years later, it has a strange coherence, and although having the flaws and blemishes of live recordings, or “quickies”, (a real ‘no-no’ in today’s world of hyper-produced music) the performances and compositions/ improvisations themselves contain something of the madness and “joi de… finger?” that characterised those exciting days. And to those of you who say, “Stop, you can’t say that; don’t talk it down, or be negative….positive, positive, stay on message, stay promotional….” all I can say is: “go jump, it’s my web-site, it’s my (in part) history, it does seem to work, and really, who gives a rat’s arse anyway!”
